What you need to know

Everything you might need before or after you order, without having to ask.

Delivery

Most orders are made and on their way within two to five working days. The run-up to Christmas can take longer. Estimates are not guarantees, and if yours is taking too long, email us and we will find out where it is.

Delivery is calculated at the checkout, and you see what it costs before you pay. What we charge is based on what it costs us, so an order of beer mats or stickers is not charged like a parcel.

Some of what we sell is printed in Europe, and a parcel crossing into the UK can in principle attract import VAT. It is settled before the parcel reaches you: nothing to pay on the doorstep, and no carrier’s handling fee to argue about. There is no order value at which that changes.

We ship worldwide, calculated the same way. Outside the UK, any import duty or tax is the recipient’s responsibility and is charged by the carrier or customs rather than by us, which we mention here rather than surprising you with it later.

Orders sometimes arrive in more than one parcel, because different items are made in different places. You are never charged twice for that.

Returns

You have fourteen days from the day your order arrives to change your mind, for any reason or none. Tell us within those fourteen days, then send the goods back within fourteen days of telling us, and we will refund you within fourteen days of getting them back — including what you paid for standard delivery, at the cheapest rate we offer. If your order came in more than one parcel, the fourteen days runs from the last one. Ask us and we will send you a cancellation form, though an email saying so is enough.

Email returns@twnw.org.uk first and we will send instructions. Send it back in a condition that lets us see it is unused — you are welcome to check an item as you would in a shop, but if it comes back used beyond that we may reduce your refund to reflect what it is now worth.

We pay the return postage if the item is faulty or we sent the wrong thing. Otherwise you do.

If something is faulty, you can reject it and have your money back within thirty days of delivery. After that we will repair or replace it, and if that does not put it right you can have a refund or a reduction in the price. Faults do not stop mattering after thirty days — that limit is on one particular remedy, not on your rights.

Sizing

Apparel is unisex, and the cut varies by garment — each product page says which. Every measurement is below, and the same tables open on each product page next to the size buttons — you should never have to ask us and wait.

Privacy

Tax Wealth Not Work Ltd is responsible for the personal information on this site. We are registered in Scotland, company number SC897855, at 289 Glasgow Road, Blantyre, Glasgow G72 9HJ.

We collect what we need to send you a parcel and nothing else: your name, address, email and the order itself. Payment is handled by our payment provider — we never see or store your card details.

We use it to fulfil your order, because that is what our contract with you requires; to keep our accounts, because the law requires it; and to keep the site secure. We do not send marketing email and there is no mailing list to join.

It goes to the people who handle your order: our shop platform, our payment provider, our print partner and the carrier. Nobody else. We do not sell data.

Some of it is handled outside the UK, in the EU, which UK law treats as offering equivalent protection. If we ever use a supplier beyond the UK and the EU, we make sure the arrangements UK law approves are in place first.

Order records we keep for six years, because tax law requires it, and then delete.

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it or delete it, ask us to stop using it, or ask for it in a portable form. Just email hello@twnw.org.uk. If we get something wrong, complain to us first and we will look into it and come back to you within thirty days — and you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time whether or not you have spoken to us.

This site stores three things in your browser: your basket, your checkout details and the delivery region you chose. They are what make the shop work, so there is no cookie banner to click. We do not track you and there is no advertising here.

Terms

The price you see is the price you pay, and delivery is added at the checkout before you commit to anything. Tax Wealth Not Work Ltd is not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged on top and none is shown separately. We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before dispatch. A contract is formed when we send a dispatch confirmation, not when you place the order — and where an order is sent in more than one parcel, each confirmation covers what is in it.

Donations are voluntary, and nothing is ever added to your basket unless you put it there. A donation carries no delivery charge and no VAT. If you cancel an order we refund the donation with it, unless you tell us to keep it. We are not a charity, so donations are not Gift Aided and we do not claim tax back on them.

If something goes wrong, email hello@twnw.org.uk and we will try to sort it out. If we cannot agree, we will tell you so in writing and point you to an independent dispute service and to Citizens Advice.

Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights, and we are required to supply goods that match their description, are of satisfactory quality and are fit for purpose. Governed by the law of Scotland, where Tax Wealth Not Work Ltd is registered — company number SC897855, registered office 289 Glasgow Road, Blantyre, Glasgow G72 9HJ. If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland you keep the protection of your own law and can bring a claim in your own courts.

Trade marks

The interlocked TW≠NW lockup and the ≠ device are trade marks of Tax Wealth Not Work Ltd. We hold them for one reason: so you can tell whether the money went to the campaign or to somebody printing lookalikes.

The words are not, and will not be. Other people are making this argument alongside us. An argument nobody owns travels further than one somebody does — so use it, print it, put it on a placard.
